FAQ

Everything you need to know before your first plunge.

I'm a newbie. Can I come?

Yes. Most of us started that way. Go in as far as feels okay, and get out whenever you want.

When and where is it?

Every Wednesday at 7:00 AM, down at the Taylor Street Dock. We post anything that changes on Instagram.

What time should I actually show up?

We gather around 6:55 to 7:00 and jump in at about 7:05. You don't need to show up early. It's early enough as it is!

Does it cost anything?

No. Plunges are free and open to everyone.

What should I bring?

A towel, a swimsuit, warm dry layers, a hat, and shoes you can slip on. A hot drink helps.

Can I just watch?

Of course. Getting in is never required. Come hang out on the dock, cheer people on, and join in only if you feel like it.

Is there a lifeguard?

No. Every plunge is optional and you take part at your own risk. Never swim alone, and check with a doctor if you have heart or blood pressure concerns.

What if the weather is bad?

We post changes on Instagram. Rain is fine. Lightning and unsafe water are not.
